A Dream
Made Real

The story of the Altus UL touring motorglider began in 2014, when Krisztián Dolhai — European champion and world record pilot — grew dissatisfied with the aircraft available on the market at the time.

He couldn't find a plane that didn't force him into major compromises. So, together with the Hungarian plastics engineering company Omikron-Dokk, they decided to build their own. By 2017 the prototype was complete.

After obtaining the necessary certifications, the Altus took to the skies for the first time in 2018 — at the Burgundy airfield in France. Three years and several hundred flight hours of testing followed, during which the aircraft set five world records.

In 2022 the second — now tricycle-gear — Altus was completed, officially launching the German DULV type-certification process. Testing concluded with outstanding results, exceeding many UL requirements significantly.

The airframe withstood 10 G during structural testing, and the aircraft is safely controllable at +5.3 G — rare in this UL category. The Hungarian aviation authority also recognised the results and issued the domestic type approval.

In April 2025, at AERO Friedrichshafen, the DULV type certificate was officially awarded. Our home base is Tátvázsony airfield, where our assembly workshop is located — and serial production has now begun.
